About the Webinar:

Effective legal-related training for non-legal employees enhances business objectives and minimizes liability risks to companies. Educating non-legal employees on product liability principles and implementing best practices to respond to claims is vital. The panel will present real-world everyday problems faced by non-legal employees working along the distribution chain and provide guidance and recommendations from legal practitioners on best practices to manage and mitigate these risks.

Moderator:

IMRAN SHAUKAT is a principal at Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, ALFA International’s member firm in Baltimore, Maryland. He focuses his practice on maritime law, product liability, commercial litigation, transportation and employment-related disputes. Imran regularly represents clients in Maryland and Washington D.C. courts. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and his law degree from the University of Baltimore.

Panelists:

ADEBOLA LAMIKANRA serves as associate counsel at Genuine Parts Company (GPC) and has been with the company for a year. Adebola has been practicing law for 11 years and focuses her practice on labor and employment matters. Prior to working for GPC, Adebola was in private practice for eight years and later worked for the Fulton County Attorney’s office as a litigator.

MICHELLE STORM is an attorney at Monaco Cooper Lamme & Carr, PLLC, ALFA International’s member firm in Albany, New York. Michelle represents physicians, health professionals, hospitals, healthcare facilities, pharmacists, and pharmacies concentrating on professional liability matters. In addition, she litigates matters for individuals, local businesses, and national corporations in the professional services, hospitality and retail, manufacturing, and food and beverage industries. Michelle received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York and her law degree from Albany Law School.

JILL WALKER is a partner at Franden | Farris | Quillin | Goodnight | Roberts + Ward, ALFA International’s member firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jill’s practice has primarily consisted of appellate advocacy, civil litigation, and Indian law, where she has extensive experience handling real property matters and other issues of law unique to citizens of Native American tribes. In addition, Jill’s other areas of practice include probate, adoption, and family law.
