We are pleased to share that Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C.’s Antitrust & Competition team successfully advised Guess? in a landmark transaction in the global fashion and brand management sector, through which Authentic Brands Group (“ABG”) and GUESS?, Inc., successfully completed the transaction to take Guess? private. As a result of the transaction, ABG now owns 51% of substantially all Guess? intellectual property, while Guess? will continue to wholly own and manage the operation of the business. With approximately USD 6 billion in global retail-equivalent sales, Guess? becomes ABG’s second-largest brand, further strengthening ABG’s global portfolio and expanding its annual retail sales footprint worldwide. This transaction represents a significant milestone for both organizations and reinforces Guess?’s position as one of the world’s most iconic global fashion brands as it enters a new chapter as a private company.
