What do we imagine when we talk about art? Whether it is a painting, sculpture, poem, dance or play, we consider not only the external attributes of the piece; color, texture, tone, and the use of light and dark in visual work, but also internal and intangible factors; perspective, historical significance, the artist’s viewpoint, their place in the culture that produced the work or even how the work relates visually to others. The surface is important, of course, but what lies underneath matters just as much.

At the ALFA International 2022 Insurance & Professional Liability Seminar, we will take the same dual approach to discuss these areas of the law and your business. We will talk not just about landmark decisions and events, but also about how the intangibles—historic views and contemporary ideals; geographic and demographic perspectives; the impact of current technology, media, and social media influence and shape the issues and outcomes in these fields.
