Expertise:
- Advising a client with respect to data protection compliance from a GDPR, Australian and New Zealand law perspective with respect to an EU platform made available to Australian based client for use by its customer in New Zealand.
- Advising Australian infrastructure as a service client with respect to its hosting of customer data and personal information for use by Swedish, US, Australian, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific based end customers of our client’s US (new York) customer.
- Advising an IT managed services provider on its data protection compliance with respect to various domestic and offshore customers including the offshoring and disclose of data to overseas countries, including compliance with Australian, EU, UK and other relevant jurisdictions and international best practice.
- Advising a hosted applications service provider on its compliance with data protection laws concerning customers based in the EU and the UK, including questions of where data is to be hosted (London and Ireland).
- Drafting and negotiating various data protection agreements and privacy and data collections policies/notices.
- Advising hosted applications service providers on data protection compliance in Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK and the EU and as it may relate to Australia.
- Advising with respect to the export of video data from Australia and New Zealand to the EU in compliance with Australian laws.
