Young Moore Elects Dawn Dillon Managing Partner

Young Moore and Henderson P.A., ALFA International’s member firm in Raleigh, North Carolina, has named Dawn M. Dillon as the firm’s managing partner, effective February 14, 2023. She will succeed David M. Duke, who will continue his law practice at Young Moore and his participation in the American College of Transportation Attorneys, the Propane Gas Defense Association, and the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).

Dawn is a shareholder at Young Moore, co-chairing the workers’ compensation and employment law group. In addition to continuing her practice of law, Dawn will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day firm operations and strategic planning for the firm. She is the first woman to lead Young Moore since its inception in 1954. Dawn has served in a variety of leadership roles in the legal and business communities. Most notably, she is a former Chair of ALFA International’s Workers’ Compensation Practice Group and a Past President of the Board of Directors of the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education.

Dawn joined Young Moore in 1996 after graduating from Wake Forest University School of Law and serving as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Jack Cozort and Donald Smith, Judges of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America © and Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite™. In addition to co-chairing the firm’s workers’ compensation and employment practice group, she has served on Young Moore’s Practice Management Committee and as Operations Shareholder since 2016.
