Michigan Lawyers Weekly Names Laura Dinon From Plunkett Cooney (Bloomfield Hills & Detroit, MI) a 2024 Go To Lawyer for Employment Law

Plunkett Cooney senior attorney Laura M. Dinon was recently named to the 2024 list of “Michigan’s Go To Lawyers” for employment law as determined by Michigan Lawyers Weekly (MiLW).

Dinon, along with 23 other attorneys, will be featured in a special section of the March 25 print and digital issues of MiLW, a publication that covers the state’s legal community. Michigan’s Go To Lawyers is a nomination-based program that recognizes the top lawyers across the state in given areas of practice.

MiLW awards the “Go To Lawyer” designation based on experience, expertise and track records of success. The review includes size and scope of litigation or transactional practices, high referral rates based on expertise and accomplishments, and creative problem solving that identifies all options for clients. Nominated lawyers are those whose colleagues would refer to a business associate, friend or use themselves in a particular field of expertise.

An attorney in Plunkett Cooney’s Petoskey office since 1990, Dinon concentrates her practice on representing public- and private-sector employers in all aspects of employment law, including labor relations. She has also handled no fault motor vehicle cases, health care issues and municipal law matters. Dinon represents small to medium size businesses, including health care practices, as well as municipalities and large insurance companies. She handles cases in federal and state courts, arbitrations and administrative agency hearings.

Dinon earned her undergraduate degree in 1983 from Michigan State University and her law degree in 1988 from the Detroit College of Law, which is now known as Michigan State University College of Law.

Members of Plunkett Cooney’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Group provide a full range of employment-related legal services exclusively for employers, including human resources counseling, litigation defense representation, alternative dispute resolution, labor law assistance, investigations and regulatory compliance review and defense.
