The first award was for Infrastructure and Projects Deal of the Year for the Trillium Health Partners’ $13.9 billion hospital redevelopment project (The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children) in partnership with Infrastructure Ontario, EllisDon PCL, Construction, Fengate Asset Management and Plenary Americas. BLG advised Trillium Health Partners.
The second award was for the M&A Deal of the Year for the Strathcona Resources’ hostile takeover bid and Cenovus Energy’s acquisition of MEG Energy. BLG advised BMO Capital Markets.
Trillium’s redevelopment project was also featured in Lexpert’s 2026 Awards of Excellence for top deals.
