Mark S. Kopson

Mark Kopson represents a wide variety of health facilities, health plans, professional practices, integrated delivery systems and managed care organizations in the state of Michigan and throughout the United States. Mark has extensive experience and expertise in the areas of commercial and governmental managed care contracting, revenue cycle, regulation and dispute resolution; sales, mergers and acquisitions of hospitals, ASCs, nursing homes and professional practices; conversion of non-profits to for-profits; certificates of need; and HIPAA, Stark and Anti-kickback compliance and agency investigation response. In addition, he represents entities in the defense and appeal of private and governmental audits, the formation and counseling of joint ventures and strategic planning in the rapidly changing health care marketplace. Mark has dispute resolution expertise in the roles of both arbitrator and advocate.
