Kevin Y. Qian is the general counsel of international development and foreign affairs of Grandall Law Firm and partner of Grandall Shanghai Office, coordinating and supporting the international practice of Grandall.
Kevin handled numerous landmark cross-border transactions and dispute resolutions for Fortune 500 companies and well-known multinational enterprises. He has extensive experience in advising the buyer or seller in connection with Chinese inbound and outbound investments on deal structuring, legal due diligence, transaction documents, government approvals, negotiation of definitive agreements, and post-closing integration.
Kevin also represented hundreds of multinationals and Fortune 500 companies in transactions that have included investment in joint-venture companies, establishment of wholly owned companies, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, and venture capital and private equity investments. His experience spans a variety of industries, including finance, manufacturing, automotive, health care and life sciences, semiconductor, oil, new energy, steel, chemicals, telecommunications, consumer products, food and beverages, agriculture, hotel and hospitality, and real estate and construction.
At Grandall, Kevin actively promotes the financing of Chinese listed companies to the European capital market, and has initiated and participated in a series of seminars on compliance and risk control for Chinese companies listed overseas. Moreover, he has developed a practice of representing and guiding Chinese companies in response to US’s sanctions against Xinjiang and military issues. Based upon his years of experience, Kevin also helped Grandall’s family wealth management team expand their business globally.
