Tom Pinansky is the Senior Foreign Attorney (Partner) at Barun Law LLC. Mr. Pinansky graduated from Harvard College, magna cum laude, and the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Mr. Pinansky is a US citizen and has been deeply involved with legal and business matters in Korea for many years. He served on the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AmCham) on and off for approximately two decades and he also served a term as Vice Chairman of AmCham. He is a former Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC), the regional grouping of more than 25 AmChams. He currently serves on the boards of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Korea and the Kiwi (New Zealand) Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Pinansky has advised on over 225 M&A and joint venture transactions in Korea for a broad range of clients. In addition, he has been involved in over 135 international arbitration matters, either as an arbitrator or on behalf of clients and has written and spoken extensively on legal and business issues relating to Korea. He previously practiced law with Hogan & Hartson (now Hogan Lovells) in Washington, DC and with Vinson & Elkins in Austin, Texas.
