Stan Siegel is a shareholder in the Minneapolis, MN, ALFA International law firm of Nilan Johnson Lewis where he is the Chair of the firm's Business Litigation Practice Group. He is also the past Chair of the ALFA Business Litigation Practice Group and currently serves as a member of its Strategic Planning and Steering Committees. Stan is also as a member of ALFA's Marketing Committee and North American Membership Committee. Stan has extensive and broad-based litigation and trial experience having represented businesses, governmental entities, individuals, and insurers in a wide variety of business and commercial disputes, intellectual property matters, and large casualty losses, arbitrations, and trials in state and federal courts in more than twenty-five states, and abroad. He has been frequently named a top lawyer in the areas of business and intellectual property litigation, is a regular author and lecturer on matters relating to civil litigation including at numerous ALFA seminars, and has participated in a number of continuing legal education programs with an emphasis on complex litigation issues. Stan has been repeatedly selected by his peers and recognized as a "Super Lawyer" every year since 1997, and including as a Top Vote Getter on numerous occasions. Most recently, Stan was selected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and as one of America's Top 100 High Stakes Litigators. Prior to entering private practice three decades ago, Stan was a federal law clerk for the Honorable Donald P. Lay, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit.
