Carolyn Ramos is a shareholder and director with the law firm of Butt Thornton & Baehr PC in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where her litigation and trial practice focuses on the defense of transportation, product liability, sports venue and other catastrophic personal injury cases. She was born and raised in New York City and earned her bachelor's degree from Middlebury College, where she subsequently sat as a trustee and fellow for five years. Carolyn earned her Juris Doctor from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2000. Prior to law school, Carolyn was a Teach for America Corps Member in Washington, D.C. She is a past-president of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association, Chair Emeritus of the Women's Initiative Practice Group of ALFA International and actively involved in ALFA International's Transportation Practice Group. Carolyn is bilingual, AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, has been included in Best Lawyers in America and named a Southwest Super Lawyer. Most recently, she was honored to be named the 2018 Civil Defense Attorney of the Year by the NMDLA. Carolyn is also a passionate Yankee fan and proud baseball Mom!
