John is a Shareholder in Taylor Day and current serves as its President and a Managing Partner. In his practice John protects the interests of companies, management teams, and business owners in a diverse array of commercial and torts disputes. Obtaining the best results available under the circumstances to accomplish the client's goals in a dispute requires a strategic approach and tactical acumen as well as legal knowledge. John brings these skills and knowledge to bear on behalf of his clients through his diverse background and experience. He litigates in State and Federal Court as well as before arbitrators in Florida. His general areas of experience include disputes involving breach of contract, shareholder disputes, joint ventures disputes, agency disputes, engineer and architect professional negligence, construction defects, real property disputes and real property title claims, deceptive and unfair practices, fraud, civil theft, usurping corporate opportunities, defamation, breach of fiduciary duties, conspiracy, economic duress, trucking accidents and motor carrier goods-in-transit disputes, and premises liability.
John also serves as a Contact Partner with ALFA International. Besides being a member of ALFA International's Board of Directors, he serves on ALFA International's Business Litigation Practice Group's Steering Committee, and previously served as Chair for ALFA International's Marketing Committee. Martindale-Hubbell assigned him an AV-rating in Litigation, Commercial Law, and Business Law and he has been listed several times in the "Legal Elites" by Florida Trend Magazine as well as in 904 Business Magazine's "Top Lawyers" in commercial litigation. Outside the office John has served on non-profit boards and is active in youth soccer in Jacksonville.
