This webinar presented in a modified “Jeopardy” format will focus on the evolution of state court rules regarding the admissibility of expert opinion testimony. Topics covered will include an overview of the different tests used by various states concerning the admissibility of expert testimony and practical tips for asserting and opposing motions to strike experts in state court litigation throughout the United States. Course materials will include a quick reference guide and supporting citations showing the applicable standard used by each state.
STEVE HAMILTON is a member of the ALFA International member firm, Hall & Evans, LLC, in Denver, Colorado. Steve is a litigation attorney with a diverse practice, but he mainly focuses on product liability defense. His experience in the product liability field is national in scope and covers a broad spectrum of insured and self-insured manufacturers of automobiles, bikes, machinery and infrastructure components. Steve received his BS from Montana State University in 1994 and his JD from the University of Montana in 1997.

She has a diverse practice, including personal injury, trucking and transportation, product liability and general litigation. Mamie received her JD from the University of Denver in 2015 and has clerked for a Colorado state district court judge, and was an Assistant Attorney General Fellow at the Colorado Office of the Attorney General.
SCOTT RUSERT is a shareholder of ALFA International member firm, Nilan Johnson Lewis PA, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a board-certified civil trial specialist who has handled cases as lead counsel in state and federal courts in 34 different states. Scott has served as national product liability counsel to two different Minnesota-based Fortune 500 manufacturers and is currently national coordinating counsel on asbestos cases for a subsidiary of an Illinois-based Fortune 200 company.
