Nathan attended George Washington University and received his law degree from Villanova University Law School in 1978. He served in the U.S. attorney’s office in Milwaukee for 13 years where he held a variety of positions including interim U.S. Attorney in Milwaukee in 1993. While at the attorney’s office his worked was focused on complex financial cases; he was named an honorary special agent of the IRS’s Criminal Investigation Division.
In 1993 he transitioned out of the public sector and worked on civil and white collar litigation at a firm in Milwaukee. That is where his involvement in ALFA International began in 1998. During his many years of involvement with ALFA International, Nathan made a great impact. He was actively involved in a number of practice groups, contributing to programming on numerous occasions as a panel moderator, speaker or program chair. He was also a Contact Partner for his firm, serving as the face of his firm within the organization. Nathan was a former member of the ALFA International Board of Directors and the Marketing Committee. On a personal level, Nathan is fondly remembered by many as a confidant and friend, always quick to offer thoughtful advice or crack a joke. There was no one more dedicated to the advancement of the ALFA International network that he dearly loved and we are proud to honor him annually with the ALFA International Nathan Fishbach Attorney of the Year Award.
