SUMMARY:2018 Webinar: Sexual Harassment
DESCRIPTION:The Labor & Employment Practice Group hosted a complimentary webinar on March 21\, 2018\, titled: “What’s An Employer to Do in the World of #MeToo Harassment?” \nClick here to view the recording of the webinar.\nWebinar Materials:\n\nMeToo Webinar – 3.21.18\n\nAbout the Webinar:\nThe Harvey Weinstein scandal ignited the #MeToo movement which then exposed a firestorm of allegations of sexual misconduct by many other powerful men to include actors\, comedians\, celebrities\, politicians and business executives. The movement has sparked a broader national conversation about sexual harassment and violence against women which has even made its way into federal legislation.  But employers have been grappling with sexual harassment claims for decades.  During this webinar\, ALFA International attorneys Sarah Lamar and Schaun Henry will explore how recent developments and the #MeToo movement have changed the ways employers respond to sexual and other harassment allegations; what happens when the alleged harasser is a key figure in the company; what are the best practices for investigating harassment claims; and what actions employers can take to prevent harassment from occurring in the first place. \nPanelists:\nSARAH LAMAR is a partner with the Savannah law firm of HunterMaclean where she practices in the area of employment law.
