Edward "Eddy" Hayes is a Partner at the New Orleans, Louisiana ALFA International member firm of Leake & Andersson. Eddy maintains both a litigation and business practice. His litigation work centers around defending products liability claims against manufacturers, as well as general insurance defense and coverage. Eddy leads his firm's international trade and business practice where he advises and represents clients in all types of international trade and business matters, including import/export transactions, international sales of goods and services, antidumping/countervailing duty proceedings, and dispute resolution matters. Mr. Hayes’ business work includes a robust government affairs and public policy practice involving federal legislative and administrative matters in Louisiana and Washington, DC. Eddy previously served as a member of the Intergovernmental Policy Advisory Committee of the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and is currently an active arbitrator serving on the NAFTA Chapter 19 dispute settlement panel. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Tulane University and is the Honorary Consul to Ukraine for the State of Louisiana. He is the former Co-Chair of the ALFA International - International Law Practice Group.
