Robert E. Sabido

Robert Sabido specializes in consumer financial services litigation and compliance, with an emphasis on representing banks, mortgage lenders and servicers, creditors, debt buyers, debt collectors, and other financial services providers. He is the practice group leader of his firm's Financial Services Practice Group. Robert has successfully defended and represented financial services providers against individual and class actions asserting violations of various federal and state consumer protection laws – including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Oregon Mortgage Lender Law, the Oregon Unlawful Trade Practices Act, and the Washington Consumer Protection Act – in all Oregon and Washington federal and state courts, and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Robert also assists financial services providers in responding to regulatory enforcement actions. In addition to his litigation practice, Robert counsels financial services providers on compliance issues; and assists them with developing effective policies and procedures, and compliance management systems.
