Elizabeth Pryor Johnson is a shareholder in the ALFA international law firm of Fowler White Burnett, P.A., in Miami, Florida. She is the head of the firm's labor and employment group and is certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Labor & Employment law. She received her B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Duke University, her M.A. degree in English from the University of Virginia, and her J.D. degree, with distinction, from Emory University. Ms. Johnson was a law clerk to the Hon. Peter T. Fay, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, from 1984 to 1985. Prior to moving to Florida in 1990, Ms. Johnson was an associate in the Labor and Employment department at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City. She is a member of the Florida and New York bars and is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. Ms. Johnson provides advice on all aspects of labor and employment law and defends clients in administrative proceedings and both state and federal court. She has successfully argued several employment cases before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and Florida's Third District Court of Appeals.
