Benton J. Barton is a trial lawyer and managing committee member of Hall & Evans, LLC, an ALFA International founding member firm in Denver, Colorado. He regularly defends catastrophic and complex litigation involving professionals, premises and products, and he recently served as chair of the ALFA International Construction Practice Group. Benton is panel counsel for leading design firms and professional liability insurers in the Rocky Mountain region, and he has been privileged to work on numerous landmark cases in Colorado and neighboring jurisdictions. He has authored articles and presented seminars on issues involving design, construction defects, mediation and catastrophic litigation nationally, and he was Program Co-Chair of the 2012 Construction Practice Group Seminar held at the Broadmoor. Benton has been honored repeatedly as a Colorado Super Lawyer and serves on the American Arbitration Association’s National Panel of Construction Law Arbitrators. A San Antonio native, Benton earned his law degree from the University of Texas.
